As part of our armoury in protecting our patients and our team against the Coronavirus and for that matter other pathogens that fill the surgery when we perform dentistry, we were one of the first practices in the UK to install a Woodpecker Q7 Plasma Air Purifier in our surgery. By using high pressure plasma technology which in effect passes the air in the surgery through an electric field filter of 20,000 to 40,000 volts, it can filter out particles and kill bacteria and viruses up as small as 14 nanometres in diameter. The Coronavirus is 80 to 120 nanometres in diameter. This is one of the many measures we are taking to ensure that there is no compromise in the safety of our patients and staff during these exceptional times.
